  CATT

CATT is the Coalition Against Toxic Toys.  You will find the online home of CATT at BadVibes.Org.  CATT is a non-profit consumer advocacy and adult industry education organization dedicated to ending the manufacture, distribution and retail sale of Toxic Sex Toys.  CATT was founded by Jessica Giordani and Jennifer Pritchett of The Smitten Kitten.

Jennifer Pritchett, teaching in
Stockholm, Sweden about the
dangers of Toxic Sex Toys.

The adult sex toy industry is plagued by an information blackout.  Manufacturers are notorious for hiding behind "trade secret" and "for novelty use only" claims to prevent consumers and retailers alike from accessing important safety information about their products.  Major sex toy distribution houses push toxic inventories on buyers while adult toy retailers have also been historically lax in making accurate information available to consumers.  Some members of the adult sex toy industry have also been guilty of providing misinformation, making outrageous and unfounded claims about products, as well as simply being ignorant and lazy about researching their own inventories.  Sex toy consumers have largely been confused and mislead by these practices.

Have you ever wondered exactly what your so-called "jelly" dildo is made of?  Does your retailer flippantly call this "mystery rubber?"  Are you comforted by the fact that your "jelly" dildos cannot be stored touching each other to prevent them from melting together?  Do you or your partner suffer from inexplicable vaginal or anal burning or irritation after using your sex toys?  Does the noxious odor of your sex toy give you a headache?

Of course these are rhetorical questions and when The Smitten Kitten learned the REAL answers, we went to work with a new mission!
In direct response to this information blackout, The Smitten Kitten owners Jessica and Jennifer fueled by a sense of outrage, started The Coalition Against Toxic Toys (CATT).
CATT's mission is to demystify the adult sex toy industry and positively transform socially irresponsible, environmentally & personally hazardous sex toy manufacturing and sex toy sales practices.  You can find the online home of CATT at BadVibes.Org
